Teachers

Freddie Singer

Director

Piano & Music Technology

A performing musician since the age of 14, experience includes recording sessions in New York City and Los Angeles for various artists and commercials, performed for corporate events, private parties and TV shows. I've taught students of all ages for over twenty years.

Many ideas for a better teaching method were influenced by my performance and studio experience. Working with producers such as Jack Douglas (Aerosmith), Kerner &Wise (Kiss, Gladys Knight, Stories and Dust) and Warren Dewey (Boston), combined with traditional classical training, I developed a learning method that's fun and includes musical styles from classical to jazz and pop.  The main focus of our teaching at Keynotes is to bring out the creativity in our students while instilling a traditional understanding of music that is universal.

Evette guides students toward success and advises students and their parents when they prepare to audition for junior high school, high school, or college. Students say, “It’s like having a second mom, because she really cares about us.”

Evette studied Drama at Circle in the Square Theater School through a special program with New York University.  She studied Voice with Dona D. Vaughn for seven years.  From 1986 through 2002, Freddie & Evette performed together professionally.

Evette also worked for "Gymboree Play and Music" for over seven years as a certified instructor.
